just wondering wether i should go ahed and cut a hole for this snorkle. it will be replaced with a stainless steel pipe later on when i have the funds. should i duplecate it on the othersid or would it just look silly?

It looks like a reasonable design of snorkel, and (on a vehicle the age of yours) I believe function is much more important than form. I say do it.

However, adding one to the other side would be pure rice, and (in my humble opinion) worthy of the ultimate derision.

But I'm an old fart - do you care what I think? :finger:

Yeah, I agree. Unless there is rather large v8 under that bonnet I wouldn't put two snorkles on ;)

I, however, believe that too little emphasis is placed on air supply.
Tap a fitting into the airbox intake and outlet hoses to allow a vaccum gauge to be fitted and do a power run under load whilst checking the depression reading on the gauge. Rule of thumb, more than 2 inches of mercury means the system is restrictive
