Diff differences.

Post by ZOOK92 »

I have a mate with a '91 SR5 Hilux with a rear ARB locker. I have

a '93 4Runner. Now I know that the externals of the diffs are different (

leaf V coil), but are the internals the same. he want to give it to me when

he sells his car for minimal money, and i just wanted to know if it will fit?

The locker is the same but are you swapping diff centres as well as the ratio's may differ depending on what engines they have.

Both are the 2.8L diesels, so i presume they would be the same?

Look at the diff code on the id plate as they should be the same. They should both be 4.300:1 diff ratio if they have the original ratio's.
