Hi guys, I was wondering what sort of Rim offset would best suit my LWB Vitara. I am thinking -15mm at this stage but thought I'd get your advice before I fork out for them.
Thanks, Ben

Ben
I have sent you a PM. 15x7 with -15mm offset work well with 30" tyres, 2" suspension lift and 1" body lift.
All the best.
Cheers

Hey guys, I am about to go for 30"x9.5" Bighorns with 15x7 rims with a 0mm offset. That's right, none. Will these fit without scrubbing?
Which way does the offset go, ie + and -

you want a negative 15 offset... ie: 15x7 -15 offset, speedy desert rat steel rims are the ones you are after they suit an f100 but fit on the vitara perfectly.

Ah ok, thanks for that mate. so the 0 offset won't be enough.
The -15 will stick out a bit more(15mm) too won't they.
With a 30mm body lift and 40mm suspension and the right offset i should clear them shouldn't I?

0 offset might scrub, i'm not sure but i reckon they would. the body & spring lift should clear the 30x9.5.... mine neve got close but i'm running more lift so you can only hope

-15 should be perfect with 40mm sus and 1" body.
You'll prolly need to rip your front mudflaps off, but otherwise all good.

This is exactly the setup I have and the details I sent you via PM. The 0 deg rims WILL scrub on the inside of the rear wheel arch and when turning the fronts will scrub on the rear of the front wheel arch. The -15mm (yes, 15mm wider) with the 30's and 40-50mm sus and 25mm body WILL NOT scrub.

for what purpose? Why do you want or need the offset rims?

I'm going the 30x9.5 inch tyres and without the correct offset they will scrub.
