A good mate of mine has a problem with his UHF.
It recieves clearly but wont transmit. I have changed out the mic with mine that works perfectly on my uhf and it still wont work.

To the point of my question, does anyone know a trust worthy repairer in Brisbane that could have a look at it.

Cheers

May mates dad fixes them for a living, sounds like he has a bad(not soldered) connection on his antenna lead, that will cause the TX to blow, but yes they still recieve fine when this happens

Only problem is im in VIC

Olbis at Rocklea will be able to have a look at it... they're agents for GME, Uniden and Icom.

Just sorted out the same problem a month ago.

For me it was the antenna cable had its insulation rubed through in a couple of places and was earthing.

Could RX fine but zilch TX.
