GQ Air Cleaners

Does anyone know if you can use the air piece from the air cleaner to the air intake from a petrol on a diesel??? I have changed engines and i noticed the petrol one has a like turbine thing on it. Will that effect the Diesel's running?

The in line turbine thing is a cyclone cleaner, ie dust thrown to outside and drops out thru byng in bottom.
I had one but ended up removing it. No noticeable difference to aircleaner useability. for me.
If you still want a precleaner it is less restrictive than the cannister one but doesnt filter the air.

So it will be cool to run the petrol one on the diesel????
