2nd factory thermofan on GU

Post by ando »

I have scored a factory 2nd thermo off a GU series 1 4.5petrol to put on my GU II TD42 - hoping to cure the a/c turning off when warm problem - anyone have a wiring diag that shows how this fan is normally installed? The 2nd fan only has 2wires - I'm guessing +ve and return - but keen to see how nissan wired it up @ the factory.. Did not run very often when it was in the 'donor' GU I, but his A/C always ran... unlike most.

mine used to switch off when the ambient got to 32.
changed back to the nissan winch bar and it hasn't switched of since.
it seems that the faster you go the less air goes in to the radiator...maybe its the bonnet shape but the nissan bar has a heap more holes and the design directs more air to the radiator.
Try using the existing fan wires to operate a relay and wire both fans to that.
