when towing trailers i usualy have no worries, but there are 2 specific ones that when i brake the radio turns off for about half a second, and when i indicate to the left my high beams come one.

it only happens with 2 trailers, all others are fine.

i cant for the life of me work out y it should interfere with my electrics when no other trailer will...

any ideas??

cheers

Do these two trailers screw anybody elses car up or just yours , maybe these two trailers arn't wired correctly , Cheers Paul.
Do these other two trailers have earths through the plug pins.

It is amazing the number of cars with "home wired" trailer plugs - which are wrong! But the owners don't realise their car is wrong, so they wire their trailer to suit their car - so it doesn't work properly with anybody else's car.

Then these same people borrow somebody else's trailer, and "fix" the wiring to make it work - with their FARKED UP car. :bad-words:

For less than $10 you can buy a trailer plug with in built LEDs which show you if your car is working properly. I suggest you find one and carry it with you - the next time you find a trailer behaving wierdly you can quickly and easily find out if your car is right.
