disco wont start

hey guys,

i have a 97 disco 3.9 V8i....
IT WONT START

a couple of days ago it was running fine and now nothing.
it has fuel, spark and battery is good, it cranks and cranks but wont turn over

any ideas that could help???

how many ks ?

Have you changed the fuel pump in it ?

Have you sprayed aerostart to see if it fires ?

218,000kms, ive only had it a couple of months, barely driven it, havent touched the engine, no i havent sprayed aerostart, where would i spray it? ive only worked on carby engines, this is EFI

If it has fuel & spark & air, then it's timing.
Well that would be my train of thought if it had carbies & a distributor.

Sorry, that's not much help, but I live in the technology dark ages when it comes to engines. If it stops, then I can work out the problem fairly quickly.
These modern things are a mystery to me!

and does any 1 know if my rover has OBD2(on board diagnostics version 2)?

did some more tests today and it doesnt seem to be getting strong spark.

its getting spark every now and then, the coil, plugs, leads and distributor cap look new.

leaning towards electronic ignition module in the distributor?

what do u think?

well guys found the problem :armsup:

something so stupid, plugs... so i replaced em with some spares i had and fired up 1st go, who would of thought

Glad to hear it was something simple - and cheap :lol:
