just wanting to know if anyone has bought the new 70 series and what do they think of it

looking at getting one near the end of the year for my work vehicle, i think they look alot better then the older square shape and the engines sound like a good thing

anyone?

power is fantastic , steering is much improved
The only problem is now i have to convince the misses to upgrade the 80 series :D :D

A couple of blokes I know have them and although early days yet, they cant say enough good things about them.

Shame they dont have the twin turbo setup like the 200 series that is coming out.

You say upgrade from a 80, are they better than a 80 in your opinion as I love the look of the new 70 wagon but thought they would drive like an old 70

Still reckon the cruiser ute/troopy is the most overpriced vehicle on the market wish they would come down a tad.

Great truck but very expensive for a work truck

Had a quick look at one the other day at the back of the local dealership. I think this was the base model (- no power crap, vinal floormats etc ) as I didn't get involved with a Rust Hussler. Definitly a "back to basics" unit , good in the bush (maybe) as it has electronics, although not too much, but as said before way overpriced. Didn't like the look of wiring & sensors mounted down low at the front the engine though. Would have though Toyota would have done better than that. If it would drop another 10-15K it would be a good jigger in any of the configurations.

Due to the emmision laws, we are stuck with electronics of diesels

The wagon is narrower , steering is better, more power, still has a rigid front end, ideal replacement for the 80 series :) :) :D
