Well Its time for a new work ute and I'm just trying to way up what to buy ( work is actually buying it but its not an open ended budget )

I've been looking at either a BA styleside straight gas ute or a Hilux DC or XC turbo diesal. The hilux would preferable be 4x4 but isnt set in stone.

Either vechile will most likely be either 6 month, maximum 1 year old.

Has any one one here has any dramas with either of these vechiles ?

Should I be looking at anything else I'm not thinking of ?

How close to the rated fuel consumption do you get ?

If you have one overall how do you rate it ?

Thanks heaps for the info.

Cheers Nick

BA utes are a very sweet ride and like all utes hold their value come residual time (if that applies) but you can't go past the Ford straight six for highway use IMO.
