Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I want to replace the standard speakers in the GU with something of better quality.I want to get the door trim off but am having trouble.
Can anyone run me through getting it off?

my mate just done mine last month.
I do remember the top has to come above the door handle near the window.the clip on the window winder must be taken off.

Its all on clips but the window winder must be taken off.



PS I put 200w in but i dont think that is enough

I just dud the stereo in my GU...

1 .Remove all the screws that you can see..

2. The arm rest or handle you push towards the switches.. i.e. inwards to wards the door i normally get my palm underneath it and push it up and forward.

3. Most now disconnect window regularors this was in an ST.. Then with a a flat blade scredriver look for the redclip between the trima and door and lever them off...

4. the door trim should come off then.

To put back on...

take the plastic triangle thing first.. put your trim on and work top to bottom.

then repeat the steps above in reverse order.

is it a ST or DX?

Its a DX.

should be easy then, do the screws for the door handle,
then take the clip of for the window winder
should be clips around the bottom that you can pry off gently with a flat screwdriver and then the top should just be sitting on.
i have a rough image in my mind of what it looks like as i have a ST.
if in doubt just be gentle and pull at the trim and you can see where it is still conected to the door.

ok.I've had a look behind the door trim.There seems to be red plastic screws holding the trim on.It looks like they are released by moving the whole door trim up and backwards.
Is that right or can i gently pry them off?

yes you can do it that way, i usually just use a flat screwdriver on them. BUT its not a good idea to do it like this if the doortrim is in bad condition
