AFAIK, they have very few problems.

Many people still won't accept the monococque chassis is reliable - I still find occasional comments predicting "problems are coming."

Offroad, the all independent suspension (IFS/IRS) is the biggest limiting factor. With suspension mods, decent tyres, front air locker & rear LSD (Mitsubishi LSDs work well  ) they will surprise most offroaders with their abilities.

We don't have many owners here - you'll find many more on the Pajero Club Forum.

Cheers,

Scott

my underhalf has one and have used it a few times to recover me no worries with just standard tyres. The locked transfer and rear lsd make it pretty good in the slop. When the tyres run down will go for something a bit more meaty.

my nf has some mods on it but one day would love to start on hers :)

In my opinion they're great both on road and off. As for reliability, I haven't heard of anything troublesome here in the UK. And, Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman used one for their Long Way Round trip through Khazakstan, Mongolia, Siberia etc.... which, given some of the terrain they went through, I personally believe is a strong endorsement. Even they said they were amazed at what the 'family shopping trolley' could do!
