60's Rear Wipers

The tubing that carries the water from the bag to the rear sprayer has shit itself on my 60. I've had a look and the tubing runs from the rear door up then into the rear roof, crosses to the other side, then back down to the bag. How do I get access to the roof to replace? Or is there another way?

tape the new tube to the old tube and pull it all through.

This was my first thought, but I'd still like to know how (if possible) to get into there. If you can at all.

Yeah mine had completely split in two where it flops around where the rear door opens up. I thought Shadow's idea was the go but it seems it's taped to some electrics (for the rear power lock) in there. What's involved in taking the lining out?

no dont take it out, need to lift it at rear above the doors to gain access, put it back on with some contact adhesive,it might wrap around under the rear door seal if i remember, been a while.
cheers dave
ps: if your gonna go to the trouble joel dont muck around with it,replace all the hose while your in there, repco or someone will have it in stock.

Hey Joel, after reading this I replaced mine last night. Mine was broken same place as yours - in the rubber bit from the door to the body. I used 4mm tube (ID). You'll need about 4.5 metres. It's not too hard. I used a bit of yellow tongue off timber flooring and a coat hanger along with some electrical tape to feed the tube through. It helps if you have an assistant at times too. It took about 2.5 hours all up.
Make sure that you drain the bladder first! I pulled off the hose and had water everywhere!
After did this I realised that my rear windscreen wiper doesn't work either. I got a headache trying to work out if it was the motor or the switch. I'll have a chat to the local auto sparky today.

i recent;y did mine and if all else fails just pull the pinch strip off the back of the roof trim and the hose is just inside there in the back roof crosspanel . that way you dont need to pull much trim down . then when finished just fold it back over the lip and use the pinch strip to hold it there . took me about 10 mins to replace the whole tube including finding where it was .

All over this today. Removed the back part of trim off the roof and sorted it all out. Not a bad job.
