Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a bj70 3b ,iwas driving home yesterday and stopped at the traffic lights she was reving high 1000rpms i put my foot under the gas peddle and the revs dropped back down but once i got going again and had to stop the revs were high again. it has done this once before but cleared by its self any ideas would be appreciated

check that your dipstcik isnt fowling to the throtlebody butterfly as it had done a couple of times on mine. pulling on the pedal or a quick rev usally cleared for a whi.le i just rotated my dip stick around to clear the pivot

automatic choke maybe??

Found the problem, the kids had been playing with the throttle button
