Shock absorber choices.

Morning all,
There is so much conflicting imfo on this subject , that I am requesting some more to frazzle my brain.
I have a '92 4Runner. the previous owner put in a 2" lift, but it appears used standard shocks ( the kit is OME). It was dropping the rear wheel a shock length of 56cm, which is its maximum extension.
I do not carry huge weights in the car, it is a daily driver, and I do regular weekend work in rocky areas.
I just want some peoples choices on shocks, brand wise and models if possible, that they find good, and give maximum articulation to the suspension.
Thanks all.
