I guess this has been asked and answered many times, so apologies for giving everyone the s**ts. 2003 intercooled 4.2 diesel turbo, get about 18m.p.g out of it 21 on a trip, the wifes gq 4.2 turbo kills it. The auto elec suggested fitting a fan to the inter cooler, I do think its helped on the hills.

The big question is I understand there is a company that charges 2-3 k and when you get the vehicle back you have 30-40% better power and torque and 30% better fuel economy, is this correct, if so who do you blokes recomend.

I have owned the car since new and done 40000ks, any help appreciated

Hey been discussed to death on this forum lately....

But you dont need to spend 2-3k for the power your after.

I have on 04 wagon which is the same setup as yours i have 100rwkw with 35's on.. its ok it was massive improvement and economy was better as well this was all done at 2000k old.

What i had done was new exhaust 3" no mufflers ( you can put muffler on but not worth wasting your money no pwr difference just noise)

fuel and boost increase to 14psi.

I think all up it was around $800...

At the same time get yourself a pyro fitted ..

If your not happy with this level of power and driveability.

i dont know what standard was 6-8 psi?

Andrew from diesel-tec should have my orginal dyno sheet...

i know i went from 78ish rwkw to what i have now but that figure i had already done my exhause however there isnt much gains in the exhaust.

I also should have mentioned that i rarely get over 400c on the pyro only ever go to 600c was when i had a tri-axle tandem and was climing the hills from omeo to dinner plain for the alpine challenge. both truck and trailer were fully loaded.

Yeah, as a few people have mentioned I would go see Andy @ diesel-tec.

I was probably the first person off the forum that went and saw Andy. As you will see many other people have had there vehicle tuned by him.

Unfortunately he's located in melbourne (lilydale).

You can also speak to Andy about getting your exhaust done with him also as i believe he now takes cares of everything drive in stock and come out with power and 3" system.

all the best with it all... best money spent i thought..
