Just though i might share some findings since we get repeating threads in regards to superchargers, power steering, alternators, air con compressor pumps etc etc

I am gathering the last few bits for a bolt-in engine build and felt i needed to share my findings :D

To start with the easiest way to not touch anything and add a multigroove acc is to buy a billet v/multigroove crank pulley

They are available from spidertrax for US$55
HERE--> http://www.spidertrax.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1932/.f

For alternators or people who just want to go the whole shiz to increase strength and reliability (and might be perharps cheaper)

Crank pulleys are best sourced from a late model 1lt swift as they are 4 bolts matching the sierra.

i got one for $15, my gti crank pulley one cost me $45 and i had being looking for a long time for someone selling it seperately (and i imagine the vitaras would be the same.)

Water pump pulley?

late carbed or efi Vitara or Daihatsu 16v 1.3L

By chance i stumbled on a the daihatsu pulley at pick'n'payless today, amazingly it's the same bolt spacing, same diameter, same number of grooves (4 but some makes use 3 or 6)

the only difference is that the daihatsu pulley center protrudes an extra 2.7mm. Not a biggy as the bolts that hold this pulley onto the engine come with tiny washers that a 1.34mm thick, put two of these washers on each bolt as a spacer inbetween the pulley and the pump and it should sit in the right spot.

The pulley cost me $10, i bought it just to see how close it was to the vitara pulley i already had so i'm not going to use it, probably take it back and swap it for some other stuff i need unless someone wants it for $10?

I'll take pictures of it and clean up this post later maybe something for the sierra bible. Bar the alternator you could do the swap for as little as $25

Mate , I went to SUZI FOUR at dunheved , SYDNEY and he had stacks of pulleys of various suzuki's , alternator and water pump , plus dual multi-v pulley's , Cheers Paul.

i went to suzi four today too :D

just thought i add a bit a variety, sometimes things are easier in certain areas, on the northshore where i live every wrecker tells me about how hard and rare suzuki parts are to get for vitara, sierra and gti's then try and bill me 4 times what suzifour quoted me

makes sense to know the alternatives :D
