so what, youd seriously consider not buyin one now casue one person had one fail, and you dont even know why it failed yet, eletrical fault maybe,
maybe you should sell your GU, i hear a guy had a starter motor fail, you wouldnt want that would you..............

I bought a 'Calibre' brand isolator from Supercheap Auto, and on Friday it caused a nice little fire in my engine bay.
I felt like a jeep
I got a refund and bought one from a 4x4 shop this time.
I'll post up some pics

I have a Matson, no problems after about... hrmm... coupla years.
That the control box on the redarc would actually melt down surprises me a little.

My own Redarc plus 1 other I know of, been going strong to over 2 years, no problems at all.

Yeah but it was probably getting 24v pumped thru a 12v Redarc solenoid.

The pic of redarcs statement is exactly whats happening in my old MK patrol with a matson fitted. My prob will most likely be old wiring etc

Yes but redarc's service is second to none..I had one and it failed after about 2 years, called Redarc for some advice when i was trouble shooting it and they express posted a new one to me. No questions asked, did not even bother to ask for a receipt.

13.2/12.5 is better anyway.
No idea what voltages my Matson does but it works fine with my alternator.
