front tower spacers / aframe questions

Greetings to all , does anyone run a spacer under the front towers to allow bigger shocks and the like ??? if not how what is the max extended/comp length front shockie that can be run ? I have a 50mm body lift so there is a bit of room to play , I also have 3 inch over spring lift . And would like to take advantage of my upward travel .
Question 2 , does anyone know of / or run a toggle treg type aframe to stop rear bind up ?

ERxtending the front shock tower iis easy.
2 options.
build a spacer to fit under tower.
Cut tower and extend as required.
You can get aprox 50 mm extra lth pluss what ever body lift you have.
Limiting factor is the brake booster.
You will also need extended brake lines.

Yep - with a 2in body lift I extended my towers by 100mm (by cutting them and welding in some 3in (I think) exhaust tube.
Allowed me to run 14in travel shocks up front with standard bumpstops.
Ive got a treg coupling in the rear of my mog rover and put a few into a couple of other trail only rigs. I dont know that I would put one into a street rig though. We are having a few wear/play issues in the main steel pivot bush which could cause dramas on a street rig.

What Michael and Sam suggest is easy to do.
With regards to the standard tower height, you can slip in nearly 10" (I'm running 9.7" travel Koni's) travel shocks using the stock bumpstop, although I didn't allow for how far the bump stop can actually compress and damaged the rebound adjuster and foot valve in one of the shocks from hitting a big bump too hard. They don't really like metal to metal contact internally.
At least it cost a lot less in parts than a new damper to fix.
But with the space you have, it's easy to extend the towers.

regarding front tower spacers i a few sets been built now as we speak they are a bolt in unit and will lift the front towers 110mm allowing you to run longer front shocks .. They are designed to take 30 to 32 inch front shocks .. pm me if you are interested

you can extend the front towers by drilling and tapping 20mm. solid bar.
then just screw the spacers between the chassis and turret and bolt the turret down again.
80 series yota shocks and 25mm. spacers work well!!
