Shocks, but no springs...?

So I installed some OME shocks on the Patrol, but was hesitant (and still am) about adding after-market springs because of the potential lift. As I've mentioned in a previous post, I don't want any lift. So since I have a SWB, I thought one solution would be to get some springs from a LWB in the scrappies and add those. This will serve my purpose for two reasons: 1. I'll only get about a 1 inch lift, at most and 2. I'll spend half if not a third on LWB stock springs.
Does my theory make sense? Any suggestions?

Why not just ask for standard springs from a supplier.

I would, but the scrap yards here are full of brand new trucks. You can find a fresh-off-the-lot Super Safari, with plastic still on the seats, that some muppet wrecked on the road. The cost of springs from those cars are less than half what the dealer offers, so I thought I would save a buck.

Any reason you asked us which were better between OME & Dobbinson an hour and 47 minutes after you posted this post?

yeah, 'cause I bought the OMEs because of a warranty, but everyone here (in Dubai) is screaming about Dobinsons. Just wanted to get some general feedback.
Did you calculate my posts? haha.

I think you can get OMEs with no lift or just 1 or 2 incehes lift. They will settle anyway, so I wouldn't bother too much...
