GQ Engine conversion Qs

I'm currently contemplating buying a GQ SWB, ditching the 4.2L petrol and replacing it with a RB30 turbo engine of some sorts as I'm got plenty of spares from my boy ricer days
. The questions i have, are the wagon RB30 parts interchangable to the swb ie. cross members, gearboxes etc. Obviously a new tail shaft will be needed, but thats no biggy. Also with regards to the fuel tank, will one from an EFI 4.2L bolt up?

yep everything is interchangable, as in everything from a 3.0L GQ will bolt into a shorty. You really only need engine/box/crossmember. Your diffs will be too tall (ratio) but can live with it if turboed. I turboed my LWB rb30 and hope to do the same conversion to my SWB but the TB just wont die. Leave the fuel tank thats in it and get a small surge tank under the car you kind of want one in a fourby anyway. You wont be dissapointed doing this to your shorty. I got all the wiring diagrams for splicing the two looms if you need them.
cheers Brunsy.
