tailpipe length ?

Post by CHIEF88 »

just wondering how long the tailpipe from the muffler needs to be to be legal in QLD ?

And does it sound better shortened ? < thats the main qn :)
I mean I dont want it to sound like a fart but louder ?

Note: if anyone has pics of their tailpipes being shortened post away.

tailpipe must end behind any opening window.

thats the only requirement, other than noise of course.

need a sound pressure meter. or just use common sense.

does the length of the pipe past the muffler make any difference to the noise?

i thaught it was the length of the pipe upto the muffler that matters.
