hey, a few people on this board have efi 304's in there 75's i have the older 308 carbie in mine and it seems to be a great match powerfull and torquey down low. ur main problem will be wiring up ur efi unles u know ur wires.
if u r purchasing the motor make sure to get the lume and computer with it maybe even the A/C compresore aswell.
there are a few places that sell adapeters search google for , marks adapters, dellows adapters ?
and i think balmain rod shop can anyone confirm that last one?
remember that if ur cruiser is post 1990 build it will have a diferent gearbox so it's important u remember that when chosing an adapter.
hope that helps.

yes its called catlemain rod shop (rod hadfield), i have both a 5ltr in a middy and 1uz in a middy, the gm motor is mated to a turbo 700 into a gq transfer, the other being the 1uz is mated to a h55f 5speed and vacume transfer with 55%reductionn gears (low range only)

There was a thread very recently about the 5L into the middy. If there's a problem you can have, I've had it so if you've still got specific questions when you're done searching, I can probably shed some light
