i dont think they did, but an after market mob made a kit up for them, palm air i think from memory. but they cramped up an alredy cramped cab and the couple iv been in didnt work to flash.

my dads hj45 did it was a 81 model pretty sure it was standed and was bloody cold too, but my 82 fj45 didn't .

It was a dealer fitted option so the kits were localy made and fitted at the dealership before delivery.

Yeah it was an option on the later model ones (i think they had front disc brakes too)

There were under dash after market units like this in the picture also I remember seeing the units that sat on the roof. There was also another unit that required the heater unit to be removed but I can't remember if that was an after market unit or not.

i have that style of ac as in the pic in my swb bj 42 lx 82 mod
wich was meant to be factory ac , ps and disc front end
if that any help

ive looked at those ebay ones and there pretty good setup recon they would easily fit where the stock heater box is under the dash
total cost would be around 600 diy install but imo well worth it
thats one of my winter plans for my 45 new heater and aircon

there is factory fitted aircon available on FJ/BJ/HJ40/42/45/47
its kinda funky lookin and bolts up under the glove box, it replaces the air duct between the firewall and the heater box with a condenser unit. There is also a switch over on the drivers side below the glow plug/filter light (on the left of the steering wheel)

i have one of the original Toyota factory option under dash A/C units under my house gathering dust. It has a seperate control box and idle up switch.

I think that vehicle is a long wheel base?
