97 Sierra/Vitara fuel tank?

Can someone tell me if this looks like a 97 Sierra tank? Click on the image to see larger.
Where do connections A, B and C go? A and B are the same size pipe, C is smaller. Just checking, I know it is easy to tell, but the tank is empty at the moment and I don't want to put fuel in it yet.
Oh... efi system to 98 2.0 lt Vitara engine. I immagine this engine is supposed to have a charcoal cannister. Anyone know?
Also is this engine supposed to have an O2 sensor?
Yep, I'm new to Sierras', don't yet have the service manual and going over the whole vehicle as some things, like the fuel system need a change for the better.
Thanks.

Unless the coilies are quite a bit different i would say that is a vit tank, but knowing suzuki anything is possible.
That engine would need a charcoal canister, if its the same as the 1.6vit config it comes off the front top of inlet manifold. std sierra one should be ok.
o2, i would think so. std they are in the cat converter and if u got extractors then u should have a port for it.
Leaf sierras i know the filler (far right) is on the same side of the chassis as the other hose outputs and that one is opposite.
Btw - a few Fsm service manuals at
www.suzukiinfo.com
AFAIK as below.
A Fuel return from engine.
B Fuel to engine
C Carbon canister/vent fuel inlet pipe i beleive

Thanks for the reply.
The previous owner did have a Vitara tank in it at one stage, but told me he changed back to a Sierra tank, so you might be correct.
BTW, one of the larger pipes was connected to the overflow/breather pipe at the filler, which means I am short of a hose connection pipe if I connect a cannister?
There is no O2 sensor and no port for one on the extractors (custom made) or anywhere else that I can see.
I will fit a cannister as it has to be blue slipped and I want it to be as tidy as possible. If I connect the cannister hose into a T piece in the breather hose - should be ok? Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks.

Easiest way to find out ports is if u have the vehicle there is to see where the filler is and where the lines run from and 2. U may be able to find out where they may have gone from engine bay.
I think u may be right the bigger goes to the breather. On mine i have done/doing a 1.6 mofi conversion and reused the orig vit hardline for the fuel inlet and using the other bigger line for the fuel return line.
Are u increasing the line size or going all new lines for the 2L system as should need it i think as with the 1.6 it is recomended.
U may want to check the ecu pinouts to see if there is a input for the 02 as well. may be a rego requirement but fark knows.

Yes, it has a canister and an O2 sensor. Go to an exhaust shop and get them to weld in plug in the header. Do a search for Hurricane Headers and you will find a pic of their J20A headers showing where they have the sensor.

Well I say its not a vitara tank , there mounts are flat . 413's etc are sloped . See the join of the two tank halves , this is level on a vitara tank .
If its not a coil tank ( I don't think it is ) it may be out of a lwb , for some reason the fuel and brake lines crossed over at the end of the cab . this would explain why the ports face opposite to the filler .
Also its not a efi tank , no fuel pump .
A is fuel return
b is fuel feed to pump etc
c is breather to tank fuller
Well thats my guess anyway .

Thanks to all. Tank is going back in today. The fuel system was set up without filters and the screen filters in the injectors were full of sediment. The surge tank had no return to the main tank.

Sierra tank with the filler moved to the oposite side.
a. Fuel pick up, should have a thread on it
b. vent line. plugs into the filler. has been cut short im thinking.
c. return line.
