Alt prob?

Post by macca81 »

so my old MQ (seems to) have no trouble starting or anything like that so im fairly sure the alt is charging the battery, but iv found that when i rev the engine the lights get VERY noticebly brighter. is this normal for an older engine or is there somthing wrong with somethin in there??

runs a 24V system on a SD33 engine.

also my charge light flickers on and off occasionaly, but my bats hold charge just fine so iv just ignored it. mostly happens on rough ground at high speed (i.e. most sealed roads in tassie...) but occasionaly on smooth roads also. possibly just a loose connection to the warning light??
