does anyone know of a conversion kit to fit the lexus v8 into a 80 series sahara vx?

this 80 has the twincam patrol engine..

have searched for toyota 80/100 frontcuts but no avail..

just thinking does anyone know if the auto box from the 80 will bolt up to the lexus?

nothing yet, i can give you a link to the vehicle im looking at..

was going to go another td 80 sahara like i used to have but i guess i could handle a petty v8 (will twin turbo it if it goes ahead)

Mate, the first gxv was a 4.7 v8 2uzfe with a442f auto...same block as 1uzfe but with only 2 bolt bigendsi. The auto is std on 4.5 1fzfe, bell is available at Toyota spares for $750 would get a auto for that id think.......whats wrong with the 4.5 donk?? more torque.and cheaper. std looms etc...

a lexus v8 wouldnt be that great in an 80 series i reckon, makes its power to high in the rev range, so you would have to rev the tits off it to get a big 80 series rolling, so not ideal for a big 4wd. the 4.7L V8 would go alright.

If ya talkin 1uzfe then it would be money better spent on the 4.5..

if its the 2uz then it would proly be alright

yeah did think about turboing the original engine... but it just doesnt really interest me...


might keep looking for a td...
