how much oil should go in a H233 front diff and a H260 rear diff.

When the rear was drained it was filled to the filler bung so all i need is confirmation this is correct.

The front was about 1-1.5 inch below the filler, i was told this is probably the correct amount as the filler is higher than required. I was also told if i put too much in it will drain out the axles seals. Can anyone confirm this???

You should fill to the bottom of the filler plug

If the angle of your diff is not factory (castor or pinion angle at rear) then the fill level will be wrong.

i usually squeese a bit more in to allow for this.

excellent, that will be why it was showing low. Do you knwo the capacity in Litres. now when i put them back in the castor should be correct (hope these arms are right) then should i just fill it to the plug?
