clicking?

Occasionally on take off i hear a click coming from the rear diff area on my sierra NT, same kinda sound as you get in the front after you've locked the hubs in and drive off.

Today I had some weight in the back and it made a constant clicking under acceleration, got rid of the weight in the back and it clicking was gone.

I would of thought uni's but i only replaced them a couple of months ago unless theyre dodge. kinda has thrown me with the weight thing as it would of only been 50kg.

Had a vibration issue at about 25km/h till about 35, tracked that down to only having 3 saggy springs, so i made up a new spring pack with some other springs and that seemed to fix it.
But i find that with a load in the back it is vibrating again.

So im not really sure what the problem is and where to head to fix it, whether its a tailshaft balance issue?
Any ideas

sounds like a uni joint to me

try twisting the joints looking for play in them. there should be none

Yep, check your uni's, and also make sure your drive shafts are properly phased from when you last did your uni's. Make sure you fit geasable uni's, and grease them often.

Saggy springs will not cause a vibration. No way- unless they were causing massive axlewrap
Are your U bolts tight? (look for any signs of movement around the spring pads?
Have you got enough leaves in the pack to prevent axlewrap?
Are your transfer case mounts intact?
Are your transfer case arms straight?
Is the slip yoke in the rear driveshaft well lubricated?
Are your hubs unlocking?
Check you haven't trashed the back diff - do you have any vertcal or horizonal movement in the pinion?

PS- you are checking the jackshaft unis too? these operate at a fair angle and flog out becuse they are spinning quicker than the tailshaft. They are often overlooked.

Everyone else is probably right about uni's, but I would check all your rear suspension, driveline bolts, to make sure they're tight. I posted about a clunking rear on heree a while ago, it turned out to be four loose bolts on the driver side brake drum. So yeah, check wheels, brakes, springs, shocks, tailshaft, etc...

Turned out to be one of the uni's on the rear driveshaft, yes one of the ones i got replaced only a month or 2 ago.
Gotta get that just cos its new doesnt mean its not the problem out of my head...lol.
In the process tho i found out my axle seals are slightly leaking but my brake pads have lotsa life left in them.
