So far can only find 35x10.50-16LT.

PS: THERE NOT FOR ME SO CAN ONLY FIT 33" UNDER HIS TRUCK.

from what iv heard from a few ppl(i tyre dealer mate of mine) these things arent worth the money, they have a tendancy to tear lugs off the aggresive tires. i was looking into them aswell coz the tread patterns look great, and they are cheaper than simmexs, but i dont like the stories iv heard...

if your mate still wants them tho, then ya can get bridgstone or bob-jane to order them in for ya. i think sparcotas stocks them in hobart, tho im not sure if sparco even exists outside of tas as a tyre wholesaler...

gd luck with it

I am running the 35x10.5x16s and i think their awesome.
I have done 2k on road (40psi) and 4k off road (hard time, mud sand rocks 15-25psi)
no complaints so far and just as good if not better than my
36x12.5x16 simex's were.

I have, 35x11.5x15, fitted in Morwell, at skinners

$300 a tyre

Although the 11.5, measures the same width as my old simex 10.5

I have a set of 33x10.5-15's that my brother got for me from T for tires in Korrumburra, he said that that is the only size 33 they sell in Australia, as I wanted the 33x9.5-16. Hopefully I will be finally trying them out in the wet this weekend.

that is good to know cloughy because when speaking to the distributor here in QLD they told me 10.5 was the biggest they get in the mt117 . extreme. and i just checked again 5 minutes ago and they say definitely the biggest and these guys know what they are on about as they import them, anyhow yours must be imported especially for you.[/b]

To clear things up.........sizes available are:

31x10.5 15
33x10.5 15
35x11.5 15
35x10.5 16

thats all

the 35x11.5 15 is identical in overall size and width as the 35x10.5 16
Also, problems with the early 16's and subsequent 35x11.5's, in
manufacture, has lead to heaps (if not all) of these to be recalled
and sent back to the manufacturer. Availability has always been a
problem, and continues to be so.

As a Navrun event organiser, we will be selling Silverstone's soon on our website.

Silverstone are proud sponsors of our events.

Drop me a PM if you want to know what sizes are available in this country, becuase there is only a limit of sizes. I will give you the Victorian Dist. details for you to contact to get the real story.

In the next few weeks I will list what is available on our website and of course reasonable prices.

Oh, and I run them, and without being biased or bagging other tyre companies, I think there the best thing I have ever run, and I have run many different brands throughout the 20 years of mapping, 4wd driveing and setting up events of all kinds. Don't listen to that Tasmanian. :P

oi! its not my fault that we have real 4WD tracks in tassie :P

after doin abit of research on it, the silverstones do really well on the east coast of aus, but the sharper rocks in tassie does them in. so if i ever move interstate ill go for silverstones as they are a hell of alot cheaper than other brands.

also, you can get any size they make in aus, just a 6 week waiting period on some sizes (at no extra cost mind you!) at least thats what the local rep down here told me.

Anyone know of a distributer for the MT-117 xtreme's in Melbourne's south east?

I went down to TJM in Dandenong, but the guy there reckons they havn't sold any in over 12 months! I find that hard to believe given the popularity of the Simex tyres (and these are a pretty damn close match).

Seems strange the guy didn't even have prices on hand given they had the tyres on display.

Try Chapel Corner Tyres in St Kilda East. Maybe ask them for a retailer close to you as they are also a wholesaler.

MagWheel and Tyre in Preston had them in a few sizes last time I was there.

hey Macca,I agree with you as the best 4wd tracks in Tassy, as we have set up 3 Navruns there. We will be having another Navrun there for 2008, near Zeehan again.

I will post everyone on this site when the distributors give me the price list, etc. Hopefully the latest next week.

In regards to sizes, etc. available, I will also post them up., patience my firends.

We've been using 35x10.5-16 Xtremes on our comp truck (GQ ute) since 2005 and wouldn't use anything else for thick mud and clay work. I think we're on our 4th set now (about to get a fresh set) and haven't experienced any of the problems rumoured to have happened (torn lugs etc) to others....we just simply wear them out.

On a 7" beadlocked rim, the Silverstones are exactly the same height as a 35x10.5-16 Simex ET on 8" beadlocked rim.

For tyre sizes and general availability, talk with Daniel Lee (AU / NZ Area Manager for Silverstone). Ph - 03 9436 5282

Yep, Daniel is a top bloke. He is once again attending our event in the Big Desert, NW Victoria this Queen's Birthday Long weekend "The Silverstone Amazing Race".

Agreed, he is very helpful indeed!! I believe his hands are tied somewhat with the availability of tyres ex Malaysia....as the demand for Silverstones simply outstrip supply both in AU and here in NZ.

I haven't forgottem about you guys.

I have all the sizes and prices and are about to sort it out and put up on the navrun website.

I also want to talk business with the Autobalance guys, as i run this stuff on my Silverstone tyres and I swear by them. You will never have to balance your tyres again for the life of them.

Give me a couple of days and I will post you guys when it is up and running.

Update....sizes available....

31 10.5 15
33 10.5 15
35 10.5 16 (limited numbers)

there is no indication from Silverstone that any more MT117 EX's will
be in production or shipped in the near future
This does not indicate that they have dropped them. Mud tyres are
just not a priority for Silverstone.

Thats the info I've received to date.
