I have heard talk of using block hugger extractors. I assume you mean the short runner extractors like the following (for a 308 of course):

Is there a reason why normal holden extractors won't fit?

Do they hit the driveshaft?

When I had the 308 in my mk I used holden 2 piece extractors and I had to modify the right hand bank to clear my front tail shaft, I was not hard to do, and it was worth it for the extra performance gained.

The std extractor for a 308 like you'd find in any commodore will give you dramas when it comes to clearing the front shaft and transfer case.

The pipeing from the std extractor will need some expert bending in order to clear everything on the drivers side of the rig, where as the block huggers outlet is far closer to the front leaving far more room to "lay" the zorst pipe.

Many of us have run the righthand side across to the left, this means far less intricate bending to clear all that stuff on the drivers side.

Just tried test fitting some extractors from a VB and the RHS one hits on the engine mount and also the chassis rail.

So yeh not ideal :(
