Transfer Gears for 80 Series

I have been running 4.88 gears in my 80 series for a few years. I recently broke the front CW&P and have grafted a GQ centre into the front diff. While I can get 4.88 CW&P for the GQ Centre, they are pretty rare. Anyway, I was considering going back to 4.11 which is pretty easy to get hold of and go for transfer gears instead.
Who else has done the transfer gears in their 80, and any comments on them.
As far as I am aware Marks are the only ones who do transfer gears. Has anyone heard of anyone else doing them

hi mate,
When i was looking at changing ratios i was keen for the 4.88s in my 80s w/35s though alot of people warned me of the inherant weakness using a smaller gear so i settled on the 4.56s and have been well pleased both on and off road, the latter being my main purpose for the change.
Since the crawler gears have come onto the market, like your self I have been considering them also and have found no one else who produces them other than marks adaptors.
My concern has been with the alleged weakness of using the higher gears in low range as a few have said that 3rd - 5th are quite weak though if I were to use the crawlers I would be spending alot of time in those gears during basic track negotiations.
If and when i do get them i wouldnt change bace to 4.11s and the drivability of 4.56 with 35in tyres is very very good. It would just make it even better off road.
Having said that Im not convinced of this so called weakness as the torque increase via transfer case gear reduction is after the main gearbox so there shouldnt be any issues.
I hope i havent hijacked you.
