Hey,

thinking i got a clutch prob here but not sure.

new HD clutch, pressure plate ,bearing and flywheel skimmed. the motor is a G16ab mpfi, sierra box with BenT adapter between it.

When the engine is started up, clutch cable is not connected up. (was before) it squeels a little bit but when u press fork in about 1/2 way is grinds/squeels.

any ideas on this one. the fork moves ok and returns back to position after moved. starts up ok and rear shaft is moving whilst engine is on even thou in N in gearbox (was guessing this is no load so spins?) or something wrong here.

Have you got the splash plate installed that covers the bottom of the bellhousing/flywheel?

I'd check that first, as it can sometimes touch the bottom of the ring gear and make a squealing / grinding noise. Mine did when I first started the 1600, so I re-arranged it slightly with a BFH.

Otherwise I can only suggest the throwout bearing might be bung.
