It sets fairly hard but not sure if i would be doing a whole car in it, not many colours to choose from either. If you went down this path you could add hardner to the paint.

I painted a scetion of the floor on my GU with the stuff.

2 weeks later a bottle of suntan lotion leaked onto the floor and got onto the Kill Rust between the edge of the floor carpet and the Sill.

When I lifted the carpets to clean it up The Kill Rust just peeled off and went all soft.

I had to start that section all over again.

painted my comp rig in it about 12 months or so ago, it lives out in the weather, and hasntgone all chalkie yet, it seems hard wearing, especially if the surface is prepped properly, areas that i didnt prep properly have peeled a small amount,

i say i got my use out of a $40 paint job, if it goes all chalkie ill respray it,

thanks for the replies boys, i think i might go with the kill rust. its just for a mq wagon im restoring, nothing special, not a show rig, more for the bush and beach, got plenty of rust to replace so was thinkin of kill rust for added protection to stop it comming back, although ill be cutting it out and welding in patches. cheers jason

I painted my tray with it and it seems OK.
It does take a long time to harden up though so dont go scratching it up for the first week or so.
The Killrust "Heavy duty primer" is good stuff to.

I use the stuff all the time on my gear. Can take a few days however to go really hard.

I find prepwork and thinner choice maybe more important than paint used.

Did Pinball in it,

does take a few days to harden properly... finish isn't gloss, but then we didn't clearcoat either...
