Is it possible to fit 100series rear hubs to an 80s rear axle. I have an 80series rear axle assembly I would like to convert to 100series stud pattern to match the cruiser and then fit to my trailer.

Yes it is ,the wheel bearings are the same.

But arent the studs diffrerent on the axel, what axel would you use? 80s are 8mm Vs 10mm unless you machine the axel holes out, then does it weaken it?

The tapered holes in the axle can be machined out with out weakening the axle, the only difference between the 100's and 80's rear axles is this hole diameter every other dimension is the same.I sharpen a drill bit to correct taper to increase the hole diameter.

Not correct !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
80 axles have the studs and dowels on a 90.0 mm P.C.D. (Pitch Circle Diameter or the actual circle the holes are drilled around ) and are 30 spline 33.3 mm diameter and 100 axles have the studs and dowels on a 92.0mm P.C.D. and are 32 spline 35.0mm diameter. The axle lenghts are the same thou. 100 hubs and axles fit into an 80 housing but the diff side gear axle splines are incompatable the 80 diff centre but can be modified and fit 100 side gears. To fit 100 hubs on the front axle you need the hubs disc's calipers and 100 or 78/79 free wheel hubs. The constant 4WD 100's have a different spline on the end of the CV and the 100 drive flanges dont work with 80 CV's thou the 100 full time CV's could be fitted as well.
80 axles on 100 hubs wont work as the 100 taper collets are bigger and on the bigger PCD so a conciderable amount of the 10mm collet would be outside edge of the axle flange also it would also be difficult to machine as all the holes need to be offset 1.0 mm . 80 hubs can be modified to take 100 axles and FWH's thou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stand corrected.

So yeah...the hubs will bolt straight on to the 80 diff, but the axles are not a straight interchangeable thing...not that you want to run them anyway,.

Will the trailer run a diff' center?
80 series diff housing

No there will be no diff centre for the trailer. I am going to fit a cover plate to prevent the ingress of dirt.

So you would'nt be running axles either?
