Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Went 4x4ing the ohter week and was running low tyre pressure and got a part of a stick/ massive bit of bark caught inbetween the tyre nad the rim..... What the best way of getting this out? Is it as simple as going to the srvo and deflating the tyre and removing debre and reflateing??? Or is it best to put the spre on and get the professional to do it?



Any thourghts???

$10 at the local tyre place, my front passenger side has the same problem

remove tire and deflate, pop bead and clean out, reset bead and your on your way,

even if it is $10 to get a shop to do it, you might as well know incase your off road and need to do it out there,

if you have a heavy car you can remove the valve put the tyre under the 4b some where n use the jack to break the bead, this will not work if you have a suzuki or tj in general but good with patrols or cruisers

fair enough, and here i am about to go strip a front center out of a 40

just let the tyre down and scape it out with a scewdiver it should come out fairly easely

This won't get the rubbish out of the bead seat area, only against the rim. The tyres have to be unseated to clean it properly. I used to do mine with a wire brush on a drill. The clay gets really really hard once it has dried witht he tyre pressing down on it.

I used to battle this all the time in my Gwagen. The bead leaks got so bad people in my street thought I had had my tyres slashed. Went to beadlocks and then still had slow leaks, but at least it wasn't due to rubbish under the the beads.
