Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a set of 36X12.5X15 pedes on 15x8 dynamic rims, on 3 of the tires/ rims i have roted the rim inside the tire, so the valve stalk thingy is bent/not lined up proply, Why is this caused? pressure's were down to about 15psi,

Its a 4.2 N/A deisel GQ if that helps, so its not a power machine....

Anybody else had this problem?

if your gunna air down alot better get rid of the tubes, you'll end up tearing all the valves out. go tubeless and the tyre can twist and spin away with no worries

these tires were birdy's before my mate had them, so there a bit rooted, and don;t hold air that well, thats why i have tubes in them

Never run tubes if you are airing down. As previously stated, they will rip the valve stems out of the tubes. I once had a puncture in a tyre that I took to Bob Janes to get plugged. All they did was tube it. When I picked it up, and saw what they had done, I told them to remove the tube and repair the tyre, as I had specified, and I wasnt paying for the extra work. They're stuff up, they're cost.

you wont stop the tyres spinning on the rims. otherwise beadlocks. even new tyres will spin on the rim with tubes at low pressures, thats why most run tubeless

From what I have seen Simex's are pretty bad for spinning on rims. If they have already had a hard life and have been on and off of a few rims, I imagine they will be pretty loose.

Beadlocks will be the go.

PS in relation to tubes and airing down, This might be the case for heavier cars, but with sierras a number of us run tubes and run very low pressure with no problems. (Christover runs cable ties around his valve stem to stop it falling in... that kind of low)

It depends on lots of factors. I run my 34" swampers at 6psi with tubes and have had no probs, another member here in vic ran 34" simex JT2's tubeless at 8psi and had two fall off in the same obstacle.

PS my Gwagen spun rims heavily even at 18PSI. 33 9.5 BFG's on stock alloys.

Low tyre pressure and tubeless is asking for debeaded tyres and a rollover.

yeah had silycon in the beads before, and the tire shops cracked the shits big time! thanks guys

but i remember Laurie Sternbeck running tubes and self tappers in the beads when he first started out in comps and did alright

try running them on a narrower (sp) rim, i run 32x10.5 pedes on a 5.5 inch rim, have aired down to around 4 or 5 psi and have had no troubles what so ever.
