Don't try and buy one.

DAKAR Cars won't export parts or kits to Australia because of the JDM's Bushrangie rip-off off the DAKAR.

This means I can't get parts for a car that IS a real DAKAR!

Have you tried Rovacraft here in Perth as he has built and sold several real Dakars

I'm after a set of body flares and DAKAR Cars won't supply in case I copy them.

Fancy that I want to buy something and the seller says no.

How many sets of body flares could I sell in Australia 1 or 2?

I'm sorry I own one now! What if I need a new bonnet? Make my own?

Are the Bush Rangie parts interchangable?

So you havent tried Rovacraft as Dave knows the guy personally and hes going to europe in a couple of days. He definitely organised a spare body before but the guy is very cautious due to the bush rangie thing

do you want to hear somthing funny?

When i bought my Dakar shell off JDM, they made me sign a disclaimer not to copy it. This was one of the origional Dakar shells they bought in from england, and was damaged during a heavy roll. it was a bit of the pot calling the kettle black i think.

On a lighter note i like that dakar ute heaps more than a bushie. the body extends further under the tray, and the front looks better. However, 100" wheelbase and an extra cab body are too short IMO.

I saw a bushie ute driving up the M5 yesterday too. i think it was the one from the tuff truck car park with maxi portals and 110" WB. Looked very

Seeing those pics has got me thinking of making mine into a tray back and moving the rear axle back a little. I think it would be more practical.

Have to finish some other projects first.

Rovercraft are checking to see if they can get the flares for me.

One of the DAKAR Club members has offered to obtain them for me as well.
