Outer Limits 4x4 Board

So I take the Patrol in for it's 60000km service, only to be told that my center muffler is fakked. They're charging 1275AED after discount, that's about 418.112 AUD.

Conversely, I can go for a single plated stainless steel straight pipe for just a bit more.

My question is, is the performance upgrade to a straight pipe that much different from stock? Also considering that I am not planning on installing any performance headers, is it worth the after-market upgrade?

Mate not sure what u can get ur hands over there but i would be trying to get a cheaper muffler somewere.. I would be looking at a small baffled muffler that way it won't be loud be give u a note but $420 for a muffler i paid $500 for a complate 3" mandrel bend system with resinator for a bit over that price..
