Hi Guys,

Im thinking of putting Wold military wheels onto my disco1 but i was thinking about a couple of things.

Firstly i know that they are a thicker wheel, but i am not sure if i need to have longer studs to allow sufficient thread for the wheel nuts. At the moment with my standard disco steels and genuine nuts the wheel stud sits flush with the end of the stud when done up. Can anyone shine any light on this. Im really hoping to get them this week, but i don;t want to if im going to have to change the wheel studs?

Secondly does anyone know if you can run these tubless, or do they require tubes to be fitted?

Thanks for the help guys.

second part first.
There are two versions, one with a safety bead for tubeless mounting and one without.
Sorry, I'm not going outside in the dark to get the numbers ;)
FWIW, I've been running the tubed version for years sans tubes as the bead is so bloody wide anyway. This was after being advised by several tyre places to do so. As to the safety aspect after having a sudden deflation, ever seen a tube tyre stay on the rim when they go down ? Me either. Had a sudden deflation once at speed (the wrong side of 100km/h ) in a corner with tubes fitted. The tyre just rolled off the rim.

Secondly, can't answer, except that on 130's that they are standard issue on the stud runs flush to the end of the nut. Just.
