rewiring the lights...
got pinged last night at midnight for driving with my parkers on because i flicked thelights back without noticing... done it a few times before this
the light are on the same stick as the indicator, i was wondering if anyone know how to re-wire them to the same style as the commodores? (circular dashmounted turn-switch)
cheers

It is just a switch so yes you can rewire them that way. You will just have to find a switch that suits your dashboard.
I notice in your sig line that you have a 1998 Jackaroo. This problem happened to me a few times when I had my 1997 Rodeo. A pain in the bum but I never got pinged for it. I always knew I had done it and just turned the headlights back on.

i was driving along a main road, the place is lit up like a christmas tree, so i didn't notice, would have been driving for about 10 k's like that, and i had already done it earlier also....
i was just wondering if it is all in one of those psycho "blocks" of wires... the last thing i want to do is tear it apart, and then get stuck cuz i can't figure out which of the 40 wires it is... (the commodores had 20 wires for example... and that was just wipers, indicator and high-beams...)

I can't rememer exactly what the wiring connector looked like. I installed an alarm in my Rodeo and I don't remember the connectors being too huge. I think one for each switch on the column. So three all up (wiper, indicator, ignition).
I have been pulled over before to be told to turn my headlights on and it was in a Commodore
I pulled over in a well lit area and intentionally turn my lights off but leaving my parkers on to read a refidex. When I pulled back out into traffic I crested the hill I was on and got pulled over. No fine just a warning.

would it be possible to move the headlight wire over to the same connection for the parker lamps?
that way your headlights are always on if your parkers are on.
