Hi guys,
I'm building a small dc generator, i am wondering if anyone knows how to calculate the number of turns needed on each coil winding to generate a given number of volts, also the diameter of wire to get a given number of amps.

Search the web for people making home made wind generators. There are plenty around.
Personally - I would use a car alternator if at all possible.
