MQ/MK or GQ- Newbie

Newbie question here..What is the difference in fuel economy between the MQ/MK & the GQ nowadays?

I own a GQ petrol 4.2 carby and a Mack truck gets better economy than i do. lucky to get 400ks out of tank (90ltrs). I owned a Mq 3.3 diesel it was a bit better but the motor was tyred and only had 4 speed. sorry cant be of more help. if possible get a 4.2 diesel GQ (turboed even better) get double what I'm gettin. By the way the 4.2 ,motor is only 2year old 30000ks.
