MQ HEADLIGHTS not working??

hello just wondering if anyone could help me with my mq headlights.

the park lights work but the high/low beam dont, if i short the power terminal (on back of combo switch) the high or low beam i short to work. i have tried another second hand switch and cleaned contacts etc and still no high/low beam any other ideas fellas?? is it definatly a switch prob???

probably switch, my navara had headlights and indicators no parklights, it was the switch

i have the same problem on my d21 mate.my lights work but have no tail lights or reverse lights.any sugestions?whats this switch you guys are talking about?

i fixed mine it was caused by sum fuckwit wiring the stereo to a fuse (headlight fuse) and was still reading as if there was power at both sides. got rid of the stereo wiring and new fuse and its good now. id be checking fuses for yours

The switch has little contact springs, like leaf springs, they're prone to get weak and you'll no lights or lights when you don't want them.
If you remove the plastic under the steering wheel you can see where the light switch connects to the steering coloumn, thats where the terminals are. Remove the little black plastic cover and rearch the contacts. But beware, this is only a temporary fix and will get worse by time. You're better off changing the whole switch.
