Outer Limits 4x4 Board

just wondering how good these filters are for 4.2td 2002 baldwin b118 ,anyone no if they have the anti flow valve in them they are 10.50 each seems a good price in mandurah wa

We use Baldwin almost exclusively at work. Heavy transport, earthmoving, tractors and 4wd. Can only remember one problem when fuel filter split but that was because high pulse filter should have been used for that application. Good filters otherwise, comparable to Fleetguard but cheaper. B118 does have anti drain back valve in it.

I worked in a filter shop for a number of years that sold Baldwin filters, amongst other brands. I had time to get to know them and I found them to be really good. I use the B118 on my Patrol. The B118 is an equivalent to the Nissan item so they have all the features of a Nissan filter (ie anti-drainback valve etc). I feel that the Japanese made Nippon Micro filters are about as good as filters get but the Baldwin are almost as good, cheaper and easier to find.

Cut a Baldwin filter apart and have a look inside. Theres plenty of good quality paper.

In the end use what you feel comfortable with. If it's a direct replacement for the OE part then you'll be fine.
