2000 NL Exceed Guages?

I have a NL 99 GLS and my inclinometer has leaked, so while I have it out to fix it, I was wondering has anyone seen the gauges in the 2000 NL Exceeds?
They are different to these with, I think, a barometer and some sort of LCD gauge with a thermometer. Has anyone changed to these? and if so is the themometer an outside temp with a sensor in the front bar like my Subaru? Any other wiring issues?

As far as Australian models are concerned, with the Exceed the instruments either side of the inclometer are a volt and oil gauge. Overseas models got the barometer / temperature and other goodies.

I have managed to get some info from Mitsubishi. The last NL Exceeds got the different gauges. They were brought into Oz. I called a guy selling one and got his VIN for Mitsubishi to track it down. There is a compass, barometer thermometer etc. It is a self-contained unit, so may only need power. I thought it would need an outside sensor though??

Thats interesting, I dont think that they would be plug and play. If they are the same as the o/seas models I am pretty sure the Temp/ Barometer sensor was in the front guard somewhere.

No they certainly are not plug and play.
Instead of the inclimometer you get a electronic compass, inside & outside temps and an altimeter.
The altimeter is ok as all parts are within the gauge cluster.
The electronic compass has a remote geomagnetic sensor that is located on the dash (between the gauge cluster and the windsreen) I think there is a tab in the trim where it is usually positioned for models that don't have it.
The big one is the inside & outside temp sensors.
The outside sensor is located next to the left hand headlight in the front bumper. The inside temp sensor is located in the steering column.
If you got one with the geomagnetic sensor and associated wiring it could be possible to snaffle the temp sensors from a late model Triton (they have the inside/outside temp display) and wire them in.
