What does WTF mean?
They're super strong aftermarket CV's and inner axels, built in the states.

Ok everyone, I do know what these Lonfield actually are.
My real reason for this post is actually to find out if they are worth the investment. One of my CV joints, if not both, is/are on the way out. Rather than just install a recon unit or 2nd hand parts, I am wondering if I should splash out on Longfields.
I already have a rear locker and at some stage in the future plan to install a front locker; more wear and tear on the CV joints.
FYI I have a LJ70...or bundy as you guys know them by.
Any advice most welcomed.

After putting a set of 27 splines in mine it hasn't looked back i don't worry about how hard it bounces or if one side has alot of traction just keep feeding it to it, I've got a mate who snaped a stock short side axle in his lux before the longfield let go so there F*&king strong and thats only the small ones they do. So for the reliablity there well worth the money.

I've been running longfields in my 1980 lux now for 4 years now with 34 inch jt 2's for three years and 37 inch krawlers for the last year, and all the time with a front locker and never even looked like breaking one... so yes to me def worth the money....

Don't bother with them...
just slap on straight a set of Volvo C303 slow ratio axles hahahahahahahaha rofl.

Then you'll regret very heavily and end up spending half as much again for a set of fast ratios
Just like our very own Mr. Jeevo

Longfields are not even in the same class as the others and therefore you can not compair them on price. But even if you did you can land 27 spline chromoly hilux cv's on your door step for $650 a pair and you will not bust them in a hurry in 99% of cases.

On the Longfields website states that these things are not suitable for sustained high speeds. Why is this?

I have broken heaps of CV's in my lux on 35's, i now run 30 spline longfield cvs and axels with 39.5 swampers and can't speak highly enough about them........... well worth the investment.
