just wondering if any1 knows if a 4.88 centre from a gen 1 will have a solid spacer on the pinion or a collapsale ?? or is the only way of know pulling it out ???
the reason i ask is that my rear diff is pissing oil out of the pinion seal and dont really wanna pull the 3rd 2 fix it ??
i though t that i read/heard/got told that all t he gen 1 lux centres had solid spacers
Yes all come with solid spacers.
Unless its been rebuilt with a collapsable spacer Just undo the nut dig out the leaky seal replace with a new one and do the old nut back up to where it was originally peened over again and you should be OK.
