LN60 4 runner body swap

Gday,

I am currently undertaking a V6 Commo conversion on my 85 runner. I pulled the shell off the other day and am 95% sure that a cab swap will be done as there is abit of rust in the runner. ( Not suprised for its age)

Apart from the rust i need new headlights, grill, windscreen which will cost me around the $600 mark anyway. So am thinking of chucking in some extra beans and grabbing a cab with less or no rust.

Will probably source a whole car and just take what i need and then flog the chassis and running gear off to try and recoupe costs.

Leaning towards a newer shape 4 runner. 89 onwards.

Just wanted to know if there was anyone out there who would be interested in manning together, who wants an IFS rolling chassis. I know they are not the most sought after chassis being IFS but thought i would throw out a line.

Depending on what i get there may be a box involved as well.

Cheers

Dave

I ended up grabbing this for a cab swap.

It is a pretty sweet deal i think.

91 4 runner complete with auto minus engine for $1500.00

ARB bullbar.

Hayman reece towbar.

One set of tyres on the car - 4 X CHROME 4 RUNNER RIMS WITH TYRES 205 X16

One set to go with it - 4 X SUNRAYSIA RIMS WITH 30X 9.5X15 TYRES

Air conditioning - Which i was going to buy for the 85 runner anyway.

Sweet interior with cruise control.

And most of all a rust free cab. Oh yeah baby.

Will post up parts that are available in FS section soon.

Cheers

Dave

I will make it fit dont you worry about that.

On a serious note.

All the research i have done indicates a modification to one set of body mounts.

I am sure there will be afew other little bang bangs here and chop chops there but hey it is a 4WD.

I am going to try my absolute hardest to document the work done with plenty of pics so others can undertake the swap.

Keep a look out in the toyota section.

Cheers
