do they make them for 35s?
just wondering if i will need em next weekend?
i know the law was for only 2wds but i heard they changed it a couple years ago.

A quick google shows up that they are needed in Vic, and almost certain they are also needed in NSW.

They do make them for 35's. Are you looking to hire or buy? If you plan on hiring a set it may pay to ring around first and make sure places have them and ask if they've fitted them to 35's. Most places should have some to suit tho if they also cater to buses.

I just bought a set today for my 35 Claws after a 4 month hunt for reasonably priced ones ($80

). My experience tells me that there are many chains listed as fitting 35's that don't actually fit (plus actual tyre size can vary).

And yes, 4 wheel drives must carry them.

Just checked NPWS website. Searched for Kosciuszko NP and clicked the getting there link which says that 4WD vehicles do not need to carry snow chains.

The urban (rural?) myth up here is people have been made to fit their chains to prove they're correct. But chance it at your own peril. I have been coming up here for 4 years and this is the first year I have carried chains.

thanks for the info guys, thats what i have been thinking.
i could probaby get some through work but i dont know if its worth it for me as i go down to the snow (resorts) maybe once or twice a year.
the other trips are to my property outside of cooma and i dont really need chains there... if anything id need a winch
